Document that defines the general terms for establishing quarries in the Departments. Established by the Law of 4 January 1993, it is drafted by the Departmental Quarry Commission and approved by prefectural order. The Departmental quarry plan (SDC) takes into account "the national economic interest, the resources and requirements of the Department and neighbouring Departments regarding equipment, the protection of landscapes, sites and sensitive natural environments, the need for sound spatial management, while enabling efficient use of untreated materials". The SDC must be compatible or made compatible, within three years, with the provisions of the river basin management plan (SDAGE) and of the sub-basin management plan (SAGE), when they exist.
