Protest zero

Reject by respondents of the scenarios proposed during enquiries for contingent valuation. Some individuals may indeed declare a zero willingness to pay (protest zeros), while they are in favour of the proposed project. It is also possible to distinguish between "protest zeros" and "true zeros" during the investigation. The "protest zeros" are generally excluded from the analysis.
