Long-term average annual total recharge rate of the groundwater body to which is subtracted the long-term annual flow rate required to achieve the ecological quality objectives for associated surface waters, established in Article 4, in order to avoid any significant diminution in the ecological status of such waters and to avoid any significant damage to associated terrestrial ecosystems.
