Updated on 26/10/2022
Définition
Sens commun
Quantity of water vapour coming, on the one hand, from the evaporation of water from soil, surface water, and wet vegetation, and, on the other, from plant transpiration. Evapotranspiration is an important component of the water cycle. It depends on meteorological parameters (sun rays, wind, temperature, etc) on soil characteristics (moisture, albedo, etc) and on vegetation. It is measured in water depth related to duration, for example in mm/day.
