Development that strives to meet the current needs without compromising the ability of future generations to meet their own needs. For such a purpose, modes of production and consumption must respect the human or natural environment and allow all the inhabitants of the Earth to meet their basic needs: food, shelter, clothing, education, working, living in a healthy environment. Applied to the economy, it has three dimensions: economic (efficiency, profitability), social (social responsibility) and environmental (environmental impact).Source
