Baseline scenario

Set of assumptions to assess the trends in pressure evolution (and therefore the status of water bodies) in a management cycle. The baseline scenario assesses the future quality of aquatic environments and is obtained by extending the current equipment rationale and trends and by applying basic measures. It participates in assessing the risk of not achieving the environmental objectives (RNAEO) for water bodies in the assessment required by the Water Framework Directive (WFD).
