Sens technique
Elevation of the water line of a man-made body of water under normal conditions of use of the structure that generates and regulates this water body (usually a dam). The normal operating water level is defined by the contracting authority under the regulations in force, especially to ensure the safety of the structure, but also by considering the use of the water body. We also use the term "retention normal water level" (RN)
